Holiday Centerpiece Class

Regular price $125.00 $0.00 Unit price per
We loved our amaryllis bulbs dipped in beeswax so much last holiday season, we created a Holiday Centerpiece Class this year. We'll gather in our Honey House and teach you how to dip the bulbs, as well as pure beeswax tapers, and make a stunning  centerpiece for your Christmas and New Year's tables!

You'll select a pair of premium amaryllis bulbs: red, red & white, pink & white or white. We'll prep them and dip them into our pure beeswax, and you'll layer them into a beautiful rustic teak bowl with preserved moss and pinecones. Then we'll dip two sets of 11-inch beeswax tapers to pair with your centerpiece on Christmas and New Year's. Each set of tapers will burn 10 to 11 hours. (The candlestick holders pictured are not included in the class.)

Once home, you'll place your centerpiece in a brightly lit room and over the next 6 weeks the bulbs will sprout and grow daily, reaching about 20 to 22 inches and bloom in time for Christmas. They'll stay in flower for several weeks, long enough for New Year's festivities. You can add your own special touch to the centerpiece closer to Christmas with fresh seasonal greens, holly and winterberry, foraged from your yard or purchased at the grocery store. We'll also send you home with directions on how to care for your bulbs, so that you can rebloom them next year.

You'll go home with:
  • 2 premium amaryllis bulbs dipped in pure beeswax
  • A 16- by 6-inch hand-carved teakwood bowl
  • Preserved moss
  • 3 pinecones
  • 2 sets of hand-dipped pure beeswax tapers, 11 inches long with a total burn time of 40 hours
  • Printed directions on how to care for your bulbs so you can rebloom them next year!
(The class does require a quick trip back to the apiary to collect your tapers, at your convenience.)

Class time: 2 hours

Light refreshments are always served, but you are welcome to BYOB or food.

If you can't take the class, but love the centerpiece, we will be selling them in the Farm Store beginning the first week of November.

If you have a group of more than 4, please call Anna at (908) 377-1681 to schedule a private class time!
